Next Plug: The Ultimate Travel Companion for EV Drivers
Next Plug is a free Android app developed by Impuls digital that helps electric vehicle (EV) drivers find charging stations with ease. With access to more than 140,000 charging stations across 48 countries in the GoingElectric.de database, Next Plug makes it easy to locate charging stations on the go.
The app features a user-friendly interface that displays charging stations on a Google map with four different colored markers. Grey markers indicate low-power charging stations (up to 10 kW), blue markers indicate stations with a power output of up to 42 kW, orange markers indicate stations with a power output of up to 99 kW, and red markers indicate fast chargers with a power output of 100 kW or more. In case of a charging station malfunction, a black warning sign appears on the marker. Additionally, the different white symbols on the marker identify the charging networks (New Motion, innogy, etc.). If there are more than two CCS or Type2 connectors available, the symbols turn green.
In addition to the familiar map controls, there are three additional buttons. The top button takes you to the setup page, the second button turns off the filter, and the third button (located next to the zoom button) switches between normal and satellite view.
